It’s critical to bring the organisation’s vision and strategy to the here and now.

As a leader, you need to be able to communicate with frontline staff without de-positioning management, however, you also need to be able to make a connection.

It’s essential to engage with people of all levels in the organisation because there will be a different perspective from each operational group and level. This will give you an insight to what’s currently on the ground.

Today’s business is becoming more moment-to-moment than ever before. Things are more dynamic now. The rapid rate of change means leaders have to be live and current.

It’s relatively harder to execute on long-term planning because we need to constantly re-evaluate to stay relevant with the times.

In as much as leaders need to keep the bigger picture in mind, they’ll have to be agile and ready ride the current waves of change.

Leaders need to be present, listening and open to learning from everyone around them.
